Mighty Maths

 Aloha, this week my learning goal for maths was use a broad range of strategies to solve multiplication and division problems with whole numbers. I have created a  google drawing included 3 rounding and compensating examples and 5 doubling and halving examples. Take a look down below!



Question time what is 4x18= Have a go! ( Make sure you use doubling and halving)

    Hi Beth,
    I am loving your create this week. You have a really good understanding of doubling and halving.

    I would double 4 and make it 8 and halve 16 to make 8. The new equation would be 8x8 which equals 64.

    What other multiplication strategies do you like to use?

    Hi Beth,
    This is a Great example of multiplication and division with whole numbers. Especially the examples they make it much easier to understand.
